We find inspiration in process of production and experimental approach to manufacturing techniques. Challenging the characteristics of materials drives us more than creating an attractive piece. Consequently, through vast experimentation we choose the best idea and make it a product.
We perceive light as an material, too. We focus on creation of light through construction of different light scenarios rather than emphasising the form of a specific luminaire. In our work, designing beyond the object is equal in designing luminaires, as in creating furniture.
Our time and effort put in every object is seen in user’s relationship with the product. Although effortless to use, our products are meant to enrich your everyday moments. If our products become a part of your time, we’ll know that we didn’t spend our in vain.
WHO WE ARE
We are Kristina Lugonja (1986) and Filip Havranek (1988) - industrial designers based in Zagreb, Croatia, and have been working together since 2012. We have collaborated with and worked for renowed Croatian and international furniture companies; as well as with domestic architects on interior design projects. For our work we have been awarded with domestic and international rewards, of which the most noticable are the two Red Dot awards in 2015 for product design and lighting. We have founded Spacetime as a company dedicated to making new kind of objects for a new generation of architects, interior designers and design explorers.
